The Cephalopoddities is the latest show from the creative minds of Michael Speranza “Starburner” and his Fantabulous Fish Friend. Adorned in extraordinary costumes and enchanted make-up, The Cephalopoddities carry the magic of the sea wherever they surface!
The show debuted at the Dragon Dreaming Festival in 2025. Since then, the deep-sea duo have appeared at various Festivals around Australia. The Cephalopoddities are perfect for children (and adults) of all ages!
The Cephalopoddities combine circus tricks like club and contact juggling, LED spinning (and non-LED for daytime) with buugeng, twin staves and Visual Poi, and highly engaging audience-participation games. The pair break up the intensity of their show with calming, interactive original songs and classic nursery rhymes about the ocean, playing instruments such as the ukulele, djembe, and even wooden frogs!
